Question by shelldan214: Looking for food for an overweight cat with furball / urinary tract problems?
We have a 3 year old cat who is overweight, and in the past has had furball and urinary tract issues. We think through brushing we have the furball issue licked (no pun intended) but are looking for the best food to feed him to curb the other problems. Any suggestions?

Need to see a vet before feeding anything. Need to be a special forumular for Urine Tract Infections

Cats are strict carnivores, they need most of their nutrients from animal sources, but being a carnivores doesn’t mean that a carnivorous animal can survive on muscle meat only.
A wild carnivore such as a Lion will kill and eat the antelope. It will lick the hair off and chew on the skin, the organ are consumed including the stomach contents with all the partially digested grass, leaves and other grazed plant material, bones are also eatten.
