On average, people pay 20% on health coverage and the insurance company pays the 80%.
Will this change under Obamacare?

I’m sorry to disagree with the other fine answers you’ve received, but anytime government adds regulations and restrictions to an industry it adds to the cost of compliance. It doesn’t matter whether we are talking about environmental controls, or safety features in cars, it adds to the cost.
This bill requires coverage of ALL regardless of health or prior conditions, and doesn’t allow them to drop anybody. This will make all of our health care insurance more expensive. There is simply no question to that, and we don’t need to wait to see the answer.
This bill needs to be defeated, and government needs to get their greedy hands out of our private affairs.

Yes, but the important thing is that the bill should force the costs, in general, to go down.
So, you might still pay 20% but 20% of a lessor amount.
