you are not even supposed to dispose of used motor oil in the garbage. It is a ‘hazardous waste’ and many communities have special days for collecting it because no one knows what to do with it. Check with your local garage or mechanic and see what they do with theirs.

Nope, and it is illegal in most states to do this. There may be a process that uses old oil to somehow make fertilizer (I have never heard of it), but pouring used or new oil on the ground will only kill most anything growing there now and for several years, it will pollute the ground water. Not cool.
